As part of the CFA Institute Research Challenge, the CFA Society Bahrain is organizing multiple educational sessions for the University Teams to help bolster their knowledge. The second session will be an Introduction to ESG and we are honored to have Mr. Abdulrahim A.Hameed as our guest speaker. 🗒️Session: Introduction to ESG 🗣️Presenter: Abdulrahim A.Hameed || Director - Sustainable Finance AME, Standard Chartered 📅 Date: Sunday 8 December ⏰ Time: 6:00pm - 7:00pm 📍Location: Bahrain Bourse, Business Center Abdulrahim is an experienced banking professional with more than 12 years of diverse experience in banking. He joined Standard chartered Bank (“SCB”) in September 2024. Before joining SCB, Abdulrahim spearheaded the Sustainable Finance initiatives at NBB, with the scope of advising clients on Sustainability-related financing solutions, and he was a member of NBB’s Sustainability Committee since 2021. He was also a member of the Sustainability Committee of the Bank, responsible for establishing the Bank’s ESG strategy and framework, setting in place its ESG reporting framework, and spearheading the establishment of the Bank’s ESG risk assessment framework. Abdulrahim is a Certified Management Accountant “CMA”, and is a holder of the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.
