Al-Kawthar Society for Social Welfare - Orphan Care - won the Bahrain International Award for Social Responsibility for the category of excellence in sustainable development in the workplace, during the Bahrain International Conference on Social Responsibility, which was held under the auspices of the Minister of Oil, Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and was attended by representatives of the most important companies from various industries. And those who play an important role in social responsibility and sustainability in Bahrain and the region, where the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Society, Mr. Ahmed Saleh Al-Nuaimi, received the shield of the award, as Mr. Khaled Al-Qaoud indicated during the conference that winning this award came after careful evaluation by international arbitrators.
On this occasion, Mr. Ahmed Saleh Al-Nuaimi stated, “This award came to confirm the distinction and leadership of Al-Kawthar in the institutional work between charitable and voluntary associations and agencies. He also indicated that this honor came as a result of the prominent role played by the association in adopting positive projects, activities and initiatives that support sustainable development.” segments of orphans and their families in society.
Al-Nuaimi added, “The association’s culmination of this award and other awards during the past period prompts us to make more efforts for development and advancement in the nature of the programs and activities adopted by the association, which puts us in a position of challenge to continue leadership in institutional work. In this context, the association is keen to provide a suitable work environment for all elements of production, such as employees and volunteers, as well as members of the board of directors, by including them in training courses and workshops that contribute to enhancing their abilities and skills.” He pointed out that the association issued a number of internal regulations in cooperation with specialized companies that would control the administrative process. And productivity as a guide to governance, risk management, and the development of administrative and voluntary work in the association, based on studies carried out by companies specialized in these fields.
Al Nuaimi also extended his thanks and gratitude to the Bahrain Society for Social Responsibility for their keenness to encourage civil society organizations to develop their performance in social responsibility by entering this annual competition.
