The inauguration of a masterpiece created by orphans on Imam Hussein Street in Manama
In cooperation between the artist Abbas Al-Mousawi and Al-Kawthar Society for Social Welfare
The annual Imam Hussein Art Festival in its twenty-second session, under the auspices of the Jaafari Endowments Department, inaugurated a huge mural “The Eyes” under the supervision of the plastic artist Abbas Al-Mousawi and the creativity of dozens of orphaned children from members of the Al-Kawthar Society for Social Welfare on Imam Hussein Street in the center of the capital, Manama.
Al-Moussawi said: “The painting bears great symbolism because it is the creativity of our orphaned sons and daughters, and it carries messages in overcoming all social challenges and focusing on hope, especially in light of the Corona pandemic, which produced great social effects, and therefore all groups of society must stand to be in solidarity with the families of the deceased from the Corona pandemic.” ».
The artist, Abbas Al-Mousawi, added: “The eyes were chosen as a axis and a focal point because they represent a great symbol of sight, vision, light, and the path, and through them you see the true expression of mercy for those victims, in addition to security, hope, peace, and goodness for humanity who hope for salvation from this pandemic.”
For his part, the President of the Al-Kawthar Society for Social Welfare, Mr. Hussein Al-Ali, expressed his happiness at the continued cooperation and partnership between the Al-Kawthar Society and the Imam Hussein Art Festival, which extended over many years. Praising the distinguished artistic environment provided by the festival by giving the opportunity and motivation to the orphan class to express their hopes and aspirations, as well as developing their artistic talents, especially in the memory of the eternal Ashura ».
