Medical students at the Arabian Gulf University launch the second edition of the “Cultivate a Smile” activity

Medical students at the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences at Arabian Gulf University coordinated the “Cultivate a Smile” event, which targeted orphaned children affiliated with the Al-Kawthar Society for Social Welfare for the second time in a row, with the aim of drawing a smile on their faces through various scientific, entertainment and educational activities, events and competitions.
The event, which was launched by medical students in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs at the university yesterday, Monday, was praised by the President of the Arabian Gulf University, Dr. The university's strategy and responsibility towards community service, expressing his pride in the spirit of love for humanity and volunteer work among AGU students who are always keen to organize events and meetings that spread awareness and serve society in all its categories, especially children.
This event aimed to develop the scientific and behavioral abilities and talents of orphans in an entertaining day full of activities and events. The Vice President of the Arabian Gulf University for Administrative Affairs, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Abdul Rahman Youssef Ismail, the Assistant President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Mr. Hisham Al-Ansari, and a number of administrators and supervisors participated in the event. The Social Supervisor at the Deanship of Student Affairs, Aisha Al-Subaie, said that the students of the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences always take the initiative to organize various community events, including the “Cultivate His Name” event, which is organized for the second time in cooperation with the Al-Kawthar Society for Social Welfare, with the aim of entertaining orphan children affiliated with the association and providing them with medical skills and information that will help them in Improving their daily practices by promoting the concepts of general health, medical culture and the basics of first aid, in addition to organizing educational and recreational games with which children interact.
Al-Subaie stressed the importance of strengthening the community partnership between the university and the local civil society institutions, by adopting this type of social activities aimed at breaking the daily academic routine of the students of the Faculty of Medicine, and bringing out their creative energies through direct contact with the various segments of society, praising the pioneering humanitarian role that it plays. Al-Kawthar Association for Orphans Support, stressing the importance of supporting and promoting charitable and humanitarian work and upgrading its forms and forms in the Kingdom of Bahrain
For her part, students in the fifth year of the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Madawi Al-Dosari, explained that the event aims to introduce orphaned children to first aid skills, daily health practices, and ways to prevent the Corona virus, in addition to organizing various games and entertainment in order to combine an atmosphere of benefit, play and entertainment for children.
She pointed to the importance of consolidating the values of charitable and voluntary work among students and enhancing social solidarity, praising the humanitarian role played by the Al-Kawthar Society for Social Welfare, which works diligently and perseveringly to serve orphans by adopting positive activities and initiatives that support orphans and their families.
