A delegation from the Bahrain Free Trade Union Federation visited the Bahrain Women's Union on Wednesday morning, August 6, 2025.
The delegation consists of Ms. Ghada Qaed, Vice President and Chairperson of the Working Women and Children's Affairs Committee; Ms. Safia Shamsan, Chairperson of the Bahraini Teachers' Union; Ms. Huda Al-Thawadi, Vice President of the Construction, Services and Maintenance Workers' Union; and Ms. Haya Al-Sahli, Chairperson of the Retired Women's Committee and a member of the Free Union's Board of Directors.
The delegation was received by Ms. Ahlam Rajab, President of the Union, Ms. Khairiya Rajab, Member of the Board of Directors, and Ms. Iman Al-Asfour, Chair of the Union's Anti-Domestic Violence Committee.
The delegation discussed with the Federation's board members a number of topics related to Bahraini women and ways to improve the services provided to them, address the challenges and overcome the obstacles they face.
The attendees agreed to arrange future joint events and activities in this context, including taking advantage of the Kingdom of Bahrain's abundant popular councils, which have become an important platform for addressing numerous societal issues and concerns.
