On Sunday morning, February 8, 2026, Bahrain Women Union received a delegation from the Bahrain Free Federation of Trade Unions, in a visit aimed at strengthening the bonds of joint cooperation between the two sides.
The visiting delegation included Ms. Ghada Ali Qaed, Vice President and Head of the Working Women and Child Committee at the Bahrain Free Federation of Trade Unions, Ms. Sarah Al-Nuaimi, Vice President for Workers’ Training and Education, Ms. Safia Shamsan, Head of the Teachers’ Union, and Ms. Haya Al-Sahli, Head of the Women’s Committee at the Free Center for Retirees.
Dr. Sumaya Al-Jowder, President of the Bahrain Women Union, Ms. Anisa Al-Ruwaie, Vice President, Ms. Ramla Jawad, Financial Secretary, and Ms. Afraa Surour, Head of the Relations and Activities Committee, were present to welcome her.
The meeting addressed several issues related to Bahraini women, ways to improve services provided to them, and the challenges they face, working to overcome them in order to empower them and enhance their role in society. It was also agreed to organize joint events and activities in the coming period.
