Bahrain Women Union Participates in Visit to the Exhibition “When Each Era Takes on the Colours of Its Poetry”

Dr. Sumaya Al Jowder, President of Bahrain Women Union, participated in a visit to an exhibition by Bahraini visual artist Laila Hamad Al Bassam, entitled “When Each Era Takes on the Colours of Its Poetry,” at the Arts Centre of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, near the Bahrain National Museum. The visit was attended by Ms. Fathiya Al Kawhaji, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Contemporary Women’s Association, and Ms. Iman Ahmed Al Ghazali, Secretary-General of the Al Ghazali Foundation in Assiut.

During the visit, Dr. Al Jowder viewed artworks that employ collage techniques to recycle old materials and transform them into paintings and artistic pieces inspired by heritage and classical and contemporary Arabic poetry. The exhibition presents a creative experience that brings together authenticity and innovation.
