The temporary board of directors of the "Friends of Health" association held its first meeting chaired by Dr. Kawthar Al-Eid, during which Areej Al-Saad was elected vice-president, Leila Ahmed as secretary, Omar Suleiman as financial secretary, and Khaled Moussa and May Khalifa as administrative members were elected.
The society's new board of directors includes integrated expertise in the fields of health, nutrition, media, law and finance, which provides the association with unprecedented momentum on the road to achieving its goals in spreading health awareness among the various groups of Bahraini society and encouraging the adoption of healthy lifestyles in a way that contributes to supporting the health system in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The president of the association, Dr. Kawthar Al-Eid, praised the contributions of the new board of directors and their enthusiasm to work within one team to achieve the goals of the association, expressing her thanks to the NGO Support Department at the Ministry of Labor and Social Development for the support and guidance provided to the association, and confirming the new board’s keenness to put the Friends of Health Association on The right path is through sustainable institutional volunteer work aimed at serving the community, and to be an example in that.
While the members of the Board of Directors affirmed their absolute keenness to implement the vision, mission and objectives of the Friends of Health Association, each within the framework of his work and competence, and expressed their full readiness to fulfill the responsibilities that will be entrusted to them, in a way that achieves the vision, mission and goals of the association, and enhances its position at the forefront of the voluntary civil work institutions concerned with health in all its fields .
The remote meeting outlined the broad features of a number of initiatives and programs that the association will implement in an interactive framework and by using motivational tools and activities to promote healthy behavior, enhance self-responsibility towards physical and psychological health, encourage a healthy diet, exercise and avoid harmful health practices in order to preserve health And reduce the incidence of noncommunicable diseases and their complications.
The meeting also discussed a number of administrative, financial and organizational matters within the framework of the association’s internal system within the framework of full commitment to the requirements of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, opening the opportunity to join the association and the participation of more members, and activating the work of committees and volunteers.
