"Health Mates" launches the "Health Fit Me" program

The Friends of Health Association announced its intention to launch a health awareness program under the title “Health Deserves Me” to be held through the Zoom app and social media sites, as part of the national efforts to promote health awareness throughout the year and in the holy month of Ramadan in particular, and in the context of the increasing interest of the population in the Kingdom Bahrain on public health issues in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

The "Health Fit Me" program includes awareness-raising seminars with the participation of dozens of doctors, specialists and speakers on public and specialized health issues and related matters, including fasting for patients with diabetes, heart, joints, etc., in addition to oral and dental health, medicines in Ramadan, mental health in Adherence to the precautionary measures remained.

The program will be broadcast every Saturday evening, starting from March 20 until the end of the holy month of Ramadan, through the Zoom platform, in addition to Instagram and YouTube, and the Friends of Health Association will promote this program through its channels on social networking sites in addition to the channels of the association and the participants in the program.

 

The President of the Health Friends Association, Dr. Kawthar Al-Eid, said that the "Health Suits Me" program aims to specifically reach the elderly, women and children in the Kingdom of Bahrain, provide them with correct health information, and encourage them to maintain their physical and psychological health by following all the requirements of that.

Eid «This program represents the latest volunteer activities that we carry out in the Friends of Health Society, based on our belief in the importance of enhancing the awareness of the various segments of Bahraini society to pay attention to physical and psychological health, and building on the great positive impact of the previous programs of the Society, which achieved great spread and wide resonance.

 

For her part, the Vice President of the Association, a specialist in nutrition, a. Areej Al-Saad said that the "Health Suits Me" program comes on the basis of the importance of the media aspect in providing health care services, and in accordance with the principle of "an dirham of prevention is better than a pound of treatment", especially with the people's keenness to listen to the necessary and recommended health instructions.
