The village of Jid Al-Haj... the village of palm trees, greenery and the beautiful sea coast, is one of the small and ancient villages.
It has been called by this name since ancient times because it was a port from which pilgrims departed to the Hijaz to perform the Hajj and Umrah.
And the word “Jed” means the port, and it was said that the road is like Jed Ali and Jed Hafs, and this village is located between the villages of Karrana and Janusan.
These three ports are old and need further research and study.

The picture is of an inscription dating back to the tenth century AH and containing the name of Nakheel endowment, which is Sarmat al-Sawli, Jid al-Hajj.

The names of the regions in Bahrain are ancient names, and the names have historical meanings and reasons that are linked to the roots of the national history, and the absence of the name is the absence of the history of the place.
