Ali bin Sheikh Abd Al-Hussein Al-Asfour, Governor of the Northern Governorate, discussed with the President of the Karana Social Charitable Association, Zuhair Hassan Makki, the sponsorship of the association’s initiative to organize an exhibition that includes, under its roof, opportunities for developing and training entrepreneurs, acquiring vocational or freelance work skills, and opportunities for productive families to work, as a starting point for the transformation To sustainable development to support Bahrain Vision 2030.
Governor Al-Asfoor praised the ambitious initiative that the association aspires to launch in strategic partnership with the Northern Governorate, pointing to benefiting from the governorate's experience in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor in supporting the National Employment Program.
The governor called on Al-Asfoor to display the history of Karrana in the maritime and agricultural professions to revive the heritage within the exhibition, so that this would be an attractive factor for those interested in the ancient history of Karrana.
For his part, the head of the Karana Charitable Association, Zuhair Hassan Makki, indicated that the association is looking forward to forming a strategic partnership with the Northern Governorate and breaking out of the framework of traditional social charitable work, by contributing to raising awareness of the importance of diversifying options among community members to develop their abilities and skills in a way that helps them improve their living conditions.
The exhibition targets several categories, including: job seekers, graduating university students, and students who have not completed their university studies, so that they can benefit from on-the-job training or apprenticeship opportunities, and obtain professional and professional certificates, while highlighting entrepreneurial opportunities. And self-employment by presenting success stories from the people of Karana village in the same field, and encourages families to take advantage of the options offered to transform into productive families.
