The teachings of Islam encourage people to do good deeds and show compassion towards others. In line with this, individuals in the village of Karana initiated voluntary charitable efforts to spread love and kindness among people. Recognizing the importance of organized work, they submitted a request to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to establish a charity fund, which became known as the "Karana Charity Fund." This non-governmental organization was established in 1992 with the aim of alleviating the suffering of the poor, improving their living conditions, promoting education, and combating ignorance. In 2011, the Ministry of Social Development renamed it as the "Karana Charitable Village."
