About

The National Society for the Support of Education and Training (NSSET) is founded underLaw No. 21 of 1989 for the establishment ofSocieties and Social-Cultural Clubs, and is registered with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs by Ministerial Decree 75/2002 under Licence No. 36/S/s.c.ed/2002. One of the most important objectives of NSSET is to support education and training in general, and to help students at the lower socio-economic sector to continue their higher/tertiary education to meet their aspirations and career goals. This objective is usually achieved through coordinating and cooperating with societal institutions working in the same fields and through networking with other societies to help raise cultural awareness and educational levels in the whole community. NSSET adopts a range of projects and programs in education and training and organises a variety of events and activities that help achieve its objectives. Despite the short period since its establishment in 2002, NSSET has initiated many highly reputed projects and programs which have, consequently, gained NSSET a distinct standing as one of the leading societies in this field in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Identifying the society's needs for educational, training and vocational skills and working on linking education outputs with the needs of the labor market. Encouraging individuals to engage in volunteer work in order to raise the educational, training and professional level in the Kingdom of Bahrain

About us

Taqi Muhammad Al-Baharna, Honorary President of the National Association to Support Education and Training, a Bahraini poet, diplomat and businessman. He was born in Manama. He conducted studies in literature and economics. He served as Bahrain's ambassador in Cairo and head of the Bahrain mission to the Arab League. He has published his poetry and literature in a number of Bahraini and Arab periodicals, and has several books. He has made many contributions to support the activities of the Civil Society for Education and Training Support to serve the community, the last of which is supporting a project for vocational training for job seekers by training ten job seekers on the profession of engineering drawing
